An iconic Wassily Chair designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925-26 and produced by Gavina in Italy during the 1960s.
The chair is constructed in chromed tubular steel with black leather sling elements. The continuous steel frame defines the structure with clarity and lightness, while the suspended leather planes create a precise balance between comfort and architectural form.
This example retains its original Gavina label and is signed on the leather.
A defining work of Bauhaus design, where industrial material and reduced form are resolved into a timeless composition.
