Designed by Sergio Mazza for Artemide in the 1960s, this pair of Sigma fixtures pairs pure circular geometry with a substantial molded pressed glass diffuser, its radial pattern casting a shifting sunburst effect once illuminated. Nickel-plated brass surrounds frame each diffuser with restraint, punctuated by small cylindrical retaining pins that reveal the fixture's construction, while internal reflectors ensure a soft, even glow free of glare. Suited equally to ceiling or wall, the pair lends itself naturally to framing a doorway, mirror, or bed with quiet symmetry.
