A pair of lattimo aurato sconces by Carlo Scarpa for M.V.M. Cappellin, circa 1930, the white glass carrying gold-foil inclusions that follow the rotation of the molten glass into drifts of mist and fine veils.

Unlit the layering reads almost archaeological; lit, the lattimo softens and the gold gains depth. Rewired to US standards.

For a dining room, a study, or either side of a mirror.
