An architectural cherrywood console table attributed to Ico Parisi, Italy, 1950s, its structure built from tapered legs, sweeping lateral supports and a broad central arch that intersect into an hourglass.
Wing-like projecting ends and a long opening under the top take away any sense of mass. Fully restored by hand in traditional shellac.
It suits an entrance hall, a dining room wall, or a wide landing.
