Movement and stillness meet in this elegant set of six dining chairs, designed by Paolo Buffa in Italy during the 1950s. A sculptural wave motif carved across three horizontal back slats lends each chair a sense of rhythm, its fluid silhouette carried further by slender tapered legs and brass sabots at the feet. Crafted in maple and conservatively restored to preserve its golden patina, the frames now meet a new upholstery of deep navy semi-velvet, chosen for its rich texture and quiet sheen. The result is a refined dialogue of warm wood, polished brass, and dark fabric, an ensemble where sculptural form and material contrast come together with lasting grace.
