Where We Will Meet Again by Aimée Adriaansen

Framed within generous white space, this earthy green mountain landscape artwork brings the depth of a distant valley into the room through a compact image of overlapping slopes beneath an ochre sky. The foreground ridge rises steeply and carries most of the visual weight, while the paler mountain behind it stretches farther across the horizon and gives the scene a convincing sense of distance. What stays with the viewer is the upward climb of the foreground mountain toward the open sky, a simple progression that gives the work its feeling of permanence.
