Among the most celebrated vintage table lamps in the history of Italian design, the "Taccia" by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos resolves the relationship between mouth-blown glass, matte aluminum, and a nickel-plated base into an architectural composition of extraordinary clarity. The directional glass diffuser reflects and disperses light indirectly through a reflector whose gloss exterior and matte interior work in concert to produce a soft, controlled illumination that fills a room without ever overpowering it.
