Some objects carry their meaning on the surface and some hold it inside the material itself, and this vase does both. The poppy form that gives it its name is not decoration but the founding symbol of an entire creative practice, present in the very first drawings Annika made in 2019 and rendered here in mouth-blown Bohemian glass with a directness and clarity that makes its origins immediately legible. The occasional bubble of air caught within the glass is not a flaw but a signature, the breath of the maker held permanently inside the material.

Care Instructions

• The Alban collection is dishwasher safe. We recommend dishwasher programs up to max 50°C, the glasses are not suitable for hot beverages.
• Given that each Akua piece is handcrafted, delicate handling is essential for their preservation. To ensure the longevity and pristine condition of your Akua glassware, please adhere to the following care instructions.
(1) Hand-wash each piece of glassware individually with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Use a soft sponge and gentle cleanser to avoid scratches. To avoid detergent residues, rinse the glasses thoroughly with clear water.
(2) Dry glassware promptly after washing to prevent calcium deposits. Gently use large microfiber cloths to dry the glass, avoiding excessive pressure to prevent breakage. Use the cloth to gently clean fingerprints from the outside of the glass.
(3) Use soft and dry microfiber cloths to polish the glass. Avoid applying excessive pressure or twisting parts si-multaneously, as this may cause the stem to break. Gently run the cloth along the outside to remove fingerprints.
