Fine edging gives this handwoven shale mohair and merino throw blanket its sense of definition, tracing a cool mineral-toned surface before resolving into hand-braided fringe at the ends. At a specialist mill in Spain, mohair and fine merino are interlaced in a way to stabilize the weave while preserving the airy volume of the fibers. The shale palette suits spaces where color is intentionally restrained, bringing depth through shifting gray, stone, and softened taupe tones instead of strong contrast. Those cloudlike fibers catch illumination across the surface, so the blanket acquires a luminous softness when loosely draped over a bed, armchair, or sofa. The result feels disciplined and tactile in equal measure, with precise finishing giving the ethereal textile enough structure to remain just as warm and inviting through years of use.
