A sculptural side table designed by Dino Gavina in 1971 for Studio Simon, part of the Ultramobile collection.
The piece draws from the work of Constantin Brancusi, translating totemic forms into a functional object with a strong architectural presence. The base is carved from solid oak, composed of stacked, rhythmic volumes with softened transitions that emphasize both structure and material.
The top is executed in satin-finished brass, slightly elevated on spacers that introduce a subtle separation from the base. The contrast between the matte wood and the reflective metal defines the composition, balancing weight and lightness.
A compact yet visually assertive piece, where geometry and material are resolved into a clear, sculptural form.
