An early-edition "Tulip" dining table designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll and produced in Italy in the 1960s.
The table is defined by a circular Carrara marble top resting on a single cast-aluminum pedestal base. The composition eliminates traditional legs, resolving the structure into a single continuous form.
The marble surface presents natural veining and a soft patina developed over time, adding depth to the material. The base, finished in white, provides a clear contrast to the stone.
A defining example of Saarinen's approach to form, where structure and geometry are reduced to their essential expression.
