A rare Murano glass vase designed by Ercole Barovier in the 1930s.
The form is defined by an elongated oval volume in thick glass, characterized by a dense pulegoso texture - a field of fine air bubbles that gives the surface a soft, diffused luminosity. Six applied clear-glass discs are arranged symmetrically along the body, introducing a measured rhythm and reinforcing the sculptural quality of the piece.
The glass carries a subtle pale green tone, typical of early Murano production, allowing the internal structure to remain visible. The applied elements are slightly irregular, reflecting the hand-blown process.
The proportions are balanced and substantial, with a strong sense of material presence.
A refined example of Barovier's early exploration of texture and form in glass.
