Green Lake by Aimée Adriaansen

Dark tree masses gather around an open stretch of water in this deep green panoramic lake artwork, creating a richly grounded scene that can bring real visual depth to a living room, dining area or hallway. The long horizontal view encourages the eye to travel across the shoreline, from denser foliage at the edges toward the lighter water opening through the center. Reflected light along the water breaks through the darker surroundings and keeps the landscape from becoming too dense, adding a sense of movement across the surface. The piece has the satisfying pull of a place glimpsed from across the bank, where the eye follows water through the trees and keeps searching toward whatever may lie beyond the bend.
