A museum-quality vintage floor lamp of the highest order, this Model 1036 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce balances a dramatically elongated brass arm against a suspended counterweight, with a spherical Carrara marble joint at the center acting as both structural pivot and visual fulcrum. The long diagonal axis generates a powerful spatial gesture that transforms the lamp into a sculptural object whose presence shifts with every change in viewpoint. The brass surfaces retain their original patina and natural oxidation, lending the piece an authenticity and historical weight that no restoration could improve upon.
