Tomaso Buzzi brought his architect's eye to Venini in the 1940s with this pair of bell-shaped sconces, hand-blown in thick cased Murano glass. A delicate celadon rim dissolves into a luminous milky white body, its surface enriched by the sporcato d'oro technique, where countless suspended gold particles catch the light even when unlit. Solid brass wall brackets, aged to a rich natural patina, offer a firm architectural counterpoint to the softness of the glass above. An increasingly rare pair from one of Italy's most influential architects, at home equally in Art Deco and early Italian modern interiors.
