A rare pair of wall lights designed by Jacques Adnet as part of the Nevada line in 1950s France. The composition reflects Adnet's refined post-war language, where structural rigor and decorative restraint coexist in balanced harmony.

Each sconce features a strong architectural frame in lacquered iron, accented by patinated brass elements that precisely support the glass diffuser. The thick molded glass shades are deeply textured and substantial in weight, marked "Nevada" within the glass itself. Designed to slot seamlessly into the metal structure, they create a refined interplay between transparency, relief, and material density. When illuminated, the glass diffuses a soft, atmospheric light that enhances the depth of its surface.

The contrast between matte black lacquered iron, warm aged brass, and heavy textured glass gives the pair a presence that is both modernist and distinctly decorative. The sconces retain all original components. Rewiring is recommended to meet current standards and can be provided upon request, with lamp holders replaced while preserving the original appearance.
