A cornerstone of twentieth-century Scandinavian furniture design, the Pernilla 3 Lounge Chair by Bruno Mathsson was produced by Firma Karl Mathsson in Sweden in 1960 and presents Mathsson's celebrated ergonomic form in braided webbing over a sculpted beech wood frame whose organic curves and exceptional comfort remain unmatched decades later. The Pernilla is among the most humanist and quietly radical furniture designs of the modern era, shaped entirely around the body rather than around geometry. A rare vintage example in original condition from one of Sweden's most important designers.
