A pair of tulip-shaped Venini sconces by Tomaso Buzzi, made during his tenure as artistic director, 1932 to 1934, and related to work shown at the 1933 Milan Triennale.

Each rises from a narrow base into a soft tulip of white lattimo with gold-leaf inclusions spiraling through it, and a halo escapes the open rim. Period brass mounts of late Art Deco geometry; rewired to US standards.
