Built to command the center of a seating area, this low-slung French alpine pine coffee table brings warmth and substantial presence through its broad circular top, stout supports and richly stained surface. The generous top sits confidently on four cylindrical legs, giving sofas and lounge chairs a strong shared center and lending the room its grounded ease. Traditional shellac restoration deepens the pine into warm amber and chestnut tones, while natural variation, small nicks and the documented restoration mark preserve the history carried in the surface.
